The Patriotic Degree
The Fourth Degree Knights are Knights that have completed a separate degree program. This program is the patriotic order. These men are loyal to the United States and support those who defend the country. They remind us of our duty as Catholics to our God and our country. Fourth Degree Knights are most recognized by their presence in uniform as honor or color guard in civic or religious events. Their militaristic look and swords at their sides provide a return to medieval knighthood, calling these men to chivalry, service, and loyalty.

I am blessed to have been appointed by the Supreme Master to lead the 4th Degree Assemblies and Sir Knights in the District of New Hampshire, Bishop James Healy Province for Fraternal Years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026. It is indeed an honor to do so. My goal is to grow membership in the 4th Degree and to work with the 24 Faithful Navigators in our District to ensure we are visibly representing all NH Knights in Color Guard and Honor Guard events, and in Patriotic events both in and out of uniform, that support our great country, our veterans and active military, law enforcement, fire service and EMS. I encourage all 3rd Degree Knights to consider applying to their regional Assembly to experience full knighthood by virtue of the selection and vetting process and ultimately participation in a quarterly 4th Degree Exemplification. These will be held in various locations around the State. The experience of becoming a Sir Knight is extremely rewarding. I challenge every Assembly in the District to reach out to all their feeder Councils to encourage this. I ask that all Councils and Assemblies consider offering a stipend to Sir Knights willing to purchase a uniform to grow our Statewide Color Corps. Participation in Color Corps events locally and around the State makes such a strong statement that we are the Knights of Columbus, we are Catholic, and we are proud to support our Church and live our faith. Our Worthy District Marshall, Chip Lukitsch, relies on Sir Knights from all our Assemblies to proudly participate in events that support the Church. If you are a Sir Knight, thank you.
