I have emphasized to the council that all knights are prayer knights but knights that are considered inactive are active knights if they are praying for the needs of the council’s requests.

I email all knights each month the names of people that needed prayers.

Retired Assistant Rev. Ronald T. Smith, one of our knights, was the inspiration for this program.

I have emailed all knights in the council of this intention with this email with Father Rev. Volney J. DeRosia input.

Dear Prayer Knights,

All non-active knights please read

I consider all knights to be PRAYER KNIGHTS, but if you are a knight that is not active or cannot do what you feel the other knights are doing, please know that I believe that you are very important to what we stand for, by praying for the prayer requests, the knights, and the parish.

Charity is our mission, but prayers are how we do our work and combat the negative powers in the world.

Please, just because you do not or cannot participate in doing programs or attend meetings regularly do not feel that you are not an active member of the council.

You are the heartbeat of what we do, a prayer knight!

PRAYER FOR US! THE PRAYER REQUEST!

AND THE PARISH!

GOD BLESS

Winston Savage Grand Knight of co 17141 of

We had 3 wonderful prizes this year. First prize was a gift basket which included Patriots tickets, multiple gift cards, a gas grill, and USA 250th anniversary items. Second prize was a set of golf clubs donated by a parishioner along with a coupon for a round of golf for 4 people at the Oaks Course in Somersworth. Third prize was a $300 auto detailing gift card along with a $100 Irving gas card. With the exception of the auto detailing card, all the other prizes were donated by Knights or parishioners. We publicized the recipients of the raffle,50% of net proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project, 25% of proceeds to the Parish of the Assumption, and 25% to Council 807 charitable endeavors. As a result of the generosity of the parishioners (tickets were sold after each weekend Mass for 5 weeks as well as at the picnic itself), we raised $4645 from this endeavor. Cost of $300 left profit of $4345, which was distributed as mentioned above.
