Worthy Brothers,
We need your help! Your Annual Meeting (State Convention) is scheduled for 5/1/26 through 5/3/26, in Whitefield New Hampshire. This is only five weeks away. Currently, event registration is extremely low.
Based on your input and feedback from last year’s Annual Meeting, we have listened to you and re-designed several aspects of the business meeting. These changes will reduce the time it takes to vote, pass the State Budget and approve Resolutions and By-Law changes. We believe this will save a significant amount of time to allow you to have more fellowship with your Brother Knights.
The attendance of your District Deputies, State Chairmen, Grand Knights, Delegates, and council members is critical to the success of this Convention. There are many reasons that your support is essential to the ongoing efforts to live up to the standard our founder, Blessed Michael McGivney, established for Knights of Columbus.
This year we have been injecting more prayer into all our State Council meetings and events. We have done the same with the Annual Meeting. United in prayer and faith we are strengthened to evangelize others in service to them.
Council Delegates are voting members of the NH State Council. Delegates control who your State Leaders are, approve your State Budget, and directly affect how your State Council is run by approving Resolutions and By-Law changes.
This year we will be using a single sheet ballot similar to what you use in Town Elections. This will make the balloting process much more efficient and reduce the time it takes to elect State Council positions.
We have eliminated the Friday business meeting to allow you to enjoy fellowship with your Brother Knights. This will enable you to learn from each other on how you tackle the responsibilities of running a Local Council. You’ll become a better local leader and make new friends from other Councils that you will be able to rely on for your term of office.
Make it a Council Group thing! Fill a table with members and couples from your Council. You can even invite your non-knight friends from your parish.Let them see what Knights Do! Let them see why we have been knights for 20, 30, 40, 50+ years. It will show them why we are better men, better husbands, better fathers and better Catholics by being Knights!
Your brother in Christ, David F. DeWorken KofC State Secretary, (603)759-6715
