The Bible Story of Joseph, from Genesis, was put to music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice and first performed in 1968; eventually making it way to Broadway 1982.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a story family, jealousy, dreams, and forgiveness, was recently performed at the Rochester Opera House in Rochester, NH.

As a date-night, several of the members of Council 11606 attended the performance with their spouse or ‘date’.  As the organizer, I had three other non-Catholic Christian neighbors join us, making it an ecumenical activity as well.

In addition, several in attendance had never been to the Rochester Opera House, a gem in our backyard.  The Rochester Opera House is housed inside the City Hall Building and has the only mechanically driven movable inclining floor system still in working order in the United States.

Date-nights are important to strengthen relationships and boost happiness.  They build intimacy and communication, reduce stress, foster teamwork, and are fun.

The Knights who participated all agreed it was a very good thing.  Everyone enjoyed themselves and feel we should do it again.
